Puberty is a stage of human growth in which the human reproductive organs start to produce sex cells and sex hormones. It often begins at around the age of ten to twelve for girls and at around twelve to fourteen for boys. These sex hormones are responsible for the physical, physiological and emotional changes which take place in adolescents during puberty. Changes which are caused by sex hormones occur during puberty.
